Proof That Acupuncture Can Shrink Uterine Fibroids

'A picture is worth a 'thousand words'.

This pic was taken in May of 2012 when I first began attending Acupuncture sessions to shrink my uterine fibroids. After a prior sonogram, the fibroids had measured to the size of 16cm (the size of a 4-month old fetus).

This pic was taken on March 10, 2014, roughly 22 months after beginning Acupuncture treatments to shrink my fibroids.

The pictures above demonstrate the positive effects that Acupuncture has shown in shrinking my uterine fibroids. It is a clear testament that Acupuncture can be considered as an alternative, safer and less invasive means to a prescribed hysterectomy due to uterine fibroids.

I have been undergoing weekly Acupuncture sessions to shrink my fibroids for 22 months. In addition, I have been taking Chinese herbs on an intermittent basis as directed by my Acupuncturist. I have found with a recent change in employment (which has also caused a decrease in stress), the most challenging area of my fibroid cluster has finally begun to soften. This area was noted to be the probable initial area of where my fibroids began to form. It has been the most resistant area on my lower abdomen to show any signs of dissipating.....until recently.

Although there may be a coincidence, my intense personal research sites high and consistent stress can be a major contributor(among others) in the formation of uterine fibroids. The decrease in stress  may be why the recent (and rapid) softening and shrinkage of my fibroids has occurred in response to Acupuncture. Interestingly enough, according to my current Gynecologist, the reason my fibroids are shrinking is due simply to my body undergoing the initial signs and stages of Menopause. He has dismissed that the Acupuncture is having any effect on my fibroids. My argument to that is the fact that my 16cm-measured cluster of fibroids began to shrink within the first two weeks of beginning Acupuncture  - and I was not at the stage of  (or even close to)  Menopause at the time.

If you have been told to have a hysterectomy to resolve uterine fibroids, consider Acupuncture as an alternative, along with other safer, more natural methods. Remember the goal:

Keep your uterus, lose the fibroids
